Today I found out that my Grandma, Barbara Pauline Welsch Sheffield Pike passed away.
I love her so much.
She is so incredible and funny and makes all of her grandkids laugh so hard.
She is kind and loving.
My dad told me she would wake up every single morning to make them breakfast.
Without fail.
I don't know about you, but I think that's pretty amazing.
She is a hostess to the bone.
When you are at her house she always makes sure you have sheets and chocolates.
Over and over again :)
It is so comforting to remember that she is with Grandpa now (both of them!)
and that her memory is restored!
So amazing to think about!
She can remember everything now!
It makes me feel light and peaceful to know that.
It reminds me how great the gospel is and how glad I am to know about the Plan of Salvation.
I know that I can live with my family and with Heavenly Father again.
I'm grateful for temples because they allow that to happen!
I can't wait to go to the temple in less than an hour.
The best is reading the scriptures there.
I always notice so many incredible things with that mindset.
thanks Court :)
my favorite picture ever of my grandma
She is so incredibly beautiful
I wish I had gotten her looks :)
I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I won’t look back, slow down, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure. I’m done with low living, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, worldly talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals. I no longer need preeminence, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, first, recognized, praised, regarded or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk with patience, am uplifted by prayer and labor with power. My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is reliable, my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, divided or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won’t give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up and paid up for the cause of Christ. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know and work till He tells me to stop. And when He returns for His own..He will have no problem recognizing me.
Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
